What I loved in the beginning, I think, was mostly myself. Never mind that I had to, since somebody had to. That was many years ago. And what do I risk to tell you this, which is all I know? Love yourself. Then forget it. Then, love the world.
––MARY OLIVER
I wouldn’t blame you if you were a little out of it this winter, a little numb or dazed or drowning in helpless anguish.
Okay then if you’re *not* dazed or lost in despair,
Then maybe you…
… are so loaded with feeling that you are afraid to breathe (you know, all that terror, rage, and anxiety with no place to go)
. . . are diligently numbing out with TV, food, retail therapy or other distractions
. . . seem stuck in a situation you don’t remember signing up for (e.g. the global disaster we’re in)
. . . feel alone and disconnected, or struggle with a relationship that could use a little (or a lot) of TLC at the moment
. . . can’t even find your heart, like whatever happened to self-love?
Or maybe you’re just fine, humming along, and looking for a place to experience more of your authenticity, creativity, and playful quirk through expression, connection, and dissolution into space?
Okay, just kidding.
Either way… I hope you don’t carry all of this alone.
As in – belonging to a beloved community. It’s now more clear than ever, even to me, a devoted introvert. Love, my dear, is the answer.
Go to your church, or temple, or community center, or to the beach (with a friend) … and/or or join us as we continue to reclaim together our innate capacity to live like Zorba the Greek: full of aliveness, connected to soul and spirit, breathing deeply, feeling deeply, knowing we are not alone, not weird, not weak for being affected and changed by this insane, incomprehensible, intense and intensely beautiful world.
Maybe you’ve kinda longed to join us for the yearlong, where we practice waking up together to a spark of light at the heart it all, but have been hesitant to commit – because you don’t feel you have the time or money or emotional stamina for such things?
We have other ways for you to experience firsthand the power and magic of moving with life without having to sell your land and your horse in order to do it.
